Mrs. A. V. Penn, of Remuera, has returned from a visit to Dunedin. Miss E. B. M. Brain, of Auckland, is spending a holiday at Hotel Titirangi. Mrs. J. J. Kingston, Victoria Avenue, Remuera, has returned from a visit to Rotorua. Mrs. E. Miller, of Dunedin, and Mrs. I. Whistler, of Walton, are at the Station Hotel. Mrs. N. Carnarvon, of Mangapai, North Auckland, arrived yesterday on a brief visit to Auckland. Miss Lily Oil, of Wellington, is spending a month's holiday in Auckland. She visited Napior this week. Mrs. Baring Brabant, formerly of Dunedin, has taken up her residence in Eastbourne Road, Remuera. Miss Mona .Brian, of Wellington, who has been visiting Mrs. W. A. Gunn, of Remuera, has returned South. Mrs. Sydney Worsp, of Whangarei, is the guest of ner sister,' Mrs. Edward Morton, Mac Murray Road, Remuera. Mrs. Norman Williams and her daughter, Mrs. J. Purdie, have taken up their residence in Ridings Road, Remuera. Mrs. S. L. Parsons, who will leave by the Wanganella to-morrow for a tour of Australia, is staying at the Royal Hotel. Mrs. S. S. Bryan, of London, and Mrs. Godfrey Pharazyn and Miss Cecilia Pharazyn, of Dannevirke, are at the Grand Hotel. Mrs! A. Barrett Jameson, of Huntly, will accompany her mother, Mrs. Hind- ■ marsh, to Sydney, sailing by the Wanganella to-morrow. The Mount Eden branch of the League of Mothers held its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, about 60 members and friends being present. The speakers were Miss Fountain and Miss Danneford, of the Zenana Mission, India, who gave tall|s on their work. Musical items by Mrs. Nicols and Mrs. Lewis and elocutionary items by Mrs. J. Allen were much appreciated.
