ENGLISH TRIP ABANDONED MATTER OF WIFE'S HEALTH MELBOURNE. Jan. 17 Ambrose Palmer stated to-day that a specialist had advised his wife not to take the risk of making the trip to England. Therefore, the boxer said, ho will remain in Australia, disregarding his prospects of future contests in England. ■ .
