LILE HONOURED 1 Prior to leaving New Plymouth on a holiday trip to the South Island last week Mr. A. Lile, a popular owner, was paid an informal call by committee members of the Taranaki Jockey Club, who presented him with an engraved cigarette-caso as a token of their appreciation of his donations of trophies and generous support of the club throughout a difficult period. The Hon. J. McLeod, vice-president, in the absence of the president, Mr. L. A. Nolan, and Mr. Walter C. Weston, both spoke in eulogistic terms of Mr. Lile's keen interest in the club and of the valiant assistance he had so freely given, and extended their best wishes for a very happy holiday. Mr. Lile suitably replied.
