GUIDES AT POHI
SUCCESSFUL CAMP RALLY
[from our own correspondent] PAPAROA. Friday,
A successful camp rally of the local companies of girl guides has been held at Pohi during the past few days. Girls from Paparoa, Maungaturoto and Matakohe attended. The camp was in the charge of Mrs. H." Sinclair, guide commissioner for the Auckland district, assisted by the local officers for their respective districts. A useful time was spent divided between instructions in guide work, swimming, fishing and an evening round the camp fire. On Sunday morning a '"guides' own" service was held, conducted by the camp officials. The girls are looking forward keenly to future camps, this being the first held by the Otamatea guides. A trip to the north in March has been arranged by Mrs. ilobin Coates, provincial commissioner, and Miss Herrijk (Hawke's Bay), Chief Commissioner tor New Zealand, who will visit the northern guide companies.
