DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS The Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association has been advised by the Waiteniata Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club that it ih sending two of its members, T. Jones and Miss J. Richardson, to tho New Zealand intermediate and junior championships at Hamilton next week. Jones has been entered for the 100 yds intermediate boys' breastßtroke, and Miss Richardson for the 50yds junior girls' breaststroke. SOUTHLAND GIRL'S RECORDS [BY TKLKCRAI'H I'IIKSS association! INVERCARGILL, Friday In li special attempt on the Southland swimming records, Dorothy Symon (Dominion intermediate furlong champion) covered 50 yards free-style in 29 I-sh. She also clocked (17 l-5s for 100 yards. .Kn route, alio bettered by two seconds M. Leydon's Dominion time of 49 l-5s for 75 yards, but this distance is not now officially recognised.
