SENATE ABOLITION BILL AMENDMENT CARRIED (Received January 17. 6.5 p.m.) DUBLIN. Jan. 1(1 The Irish Free State Senate by 30 votes to 20 passed Mr. J. G. Douglas' amendment to tho Senate Abolition Bill. It is understood that INlr. de Valcra will not accept it but will exercise his powers under the Constitution, which permits of tho abolition of the Chamber by a formal motion of the Dail.
