MONTHLY LUNCHEON

MERCANTILE AUXILIARY The monthly luncheon of the Mercantile Auxiliary Club was held yesterday. Much interest was taken in the reports by the members who had charge of arrangements regarding the distribution of hampers just prior to Christmas Day. The members in charge of the distribution were Miss J. Dickey, Miss J. Smythe and Miss E. If worsen. The opportunity was taken of conveving to Miss Evelyn McNeil and Miss Edna Thomas the best wishes of the club on the occasion of their recentlyannounced engagements. In expressing the good wishes of the members the hostess referred to the fact that the club was indebted to Miss Thomas for many of its successful functions, her part in arranging the concert programmes bringing her in personal contact with all members. Miss McNeil, though not taking so prominent a part in club aifairs, was equally well known to all. Present at luncheon were: —Mrs. M. Ifwersen, Mrs. E. L. Burton, Mrs. D. McCrone, Mrs. Carver, Miss Evelyn McNeil, Miss Edna Thomas, Miss Gloria Rawlinson, Miss J. Dickey, Miss E. Ifwersen, Miss Hilda Dickey, Miss Ivie Jennings, Miss Hilar} 7 Booth, Miss Jean .Reynolds, Miss Jean Goudie, Miss Joyce Smythe, Miss Alison Canavan, Miss Ailsa Valiry, Miss Mary Smythe and Miss Peggy Lee.
