INTERMEDIATE BOYS' TITLE A. PASCOE'S THIRD SUCCESS The 440 yds. intermediate boys' swimming championship of Auckland, decided at the Tepid Baths last evening, resulted in a win for A. Pascoe, AVaitenia ta Club, who led for the \vhoie distance and was first bv several yards. The runner-up, H. Goldsmith, had a good margin to spare from M. Geary, who was third. Pascoe's time was 5m 41s. Lhe Auckland and New Zealand record, hold by N. Crump, is srn 14 4-ss. Jho 100 yds. and 220 yds. titles were also won by Pascoe on Tuesday night. The Auckland Centro of tho Isew Zealand Amateur Swimming Association has recommended the swimmers selected for tho 2Jew Zealand intermediate and junior championships in Hamilton on January 25, 27 and 28 to complete their training at the Mount Eden Baths, because these contain fresh water. The team will leave for Hamilton by the Rotorua express next Thursday morning.
