AWARDS AND APPOINTMENT'S The service bar representing five years' additional service has been issued to the following members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade in the Auckland district, who are holders of the service medal:-—Sergeant C, D. Malone, Otahuhu railway division; Divisionalsuperintendent E, A. Houston, Hamilton division.

Beachen, J. R. Wauch, J. S. Lake, F. G. Bolton. Hamilton nursing division: Ambulance sisters L. Dixon, M. Hears, E. Morgan, H. Piper, M. Chaplin, H. Angland, D. Middlebrook. Rotorua division: Private F. H. Wright. Taumarunui division: Privates F. L. .Bannister, C. H. Lawn, S. R. Mottram, S. TL Downes.

The following appointments have been ' approved by the Chief Commissioner for the Dominion: —District frtnff: Colonel F. W. Dawson to be district o/Ficer, Hamilton. Te Kuiti nursing division: Dr. L. De Castro to be divisional surgeon; Mrs. M. R. Wilson to be lady divisional superintendent; Miss E. Walker to be lady divisional secretary. Rotorua nursing division: Miss K. J. Ridings to be lady divisional secretary.
