Wilson. United. —E. A. Smith. Napier.—S. Beer. Thirty-seven rinks had qualified for post-sectional plav, and the final stages of the pairs and singles were also in progress. Play was carried on under tho "life" system in the rinks, all the. teams starting off with two lives. The pairs were played on the "sudden death" principle. Of the visiting New South Wales players none survived in the rinks, and only one combination has survived to contest the finals of the pairs. Whether the singles can bo brought to a close within the next day or two depends on how players become available. A number of finalists in both the pairs and singles aro among tho rinks finalists.
