Nothing definite wal done, but the Minister promised ta place the council's representations before the Ministers concerned on hii return to Wellington. VISIT TO HAMILTON WOMEN'S CONFERENCE OPENED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, 'Wednesday The Hon. W. Lee Martin, .Minister of Agriculture, visited Hamilton today. After attending a meet; tz of the Central \\ aikato Electric-Power Board* of which he is a member, he mot tha directors of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Limited. The Minister took part in flic official opening of the half-yearly conference of the Dominion executive of tlm Women's Division of > the Farmers' Union, after which he went to Huntly. At the meeting of the Power Board, of which* Mr. Martin has been ;i member since its inception !•"> years ago, the Minister said hf would probably have to resign and make way for someone who could give more lime to the business of the board than he could.
