INQUEST AT WAIHI

LEVEL CROSSING FATALITY [by TKLEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] WAIHI. Wednesday An inquest into the death of Mr. William Godfrey Collins, aged 65, who was killed at Waikino yesterday on the Martha Gold Mining Company's level crossing by the 11 o'clock Paeroa-Waihi train, was opened at tho Waihi Courthouse to-day before the coroner, Mr. W. M. Wallnntt, and a jury of six. As Mr. Collins was an employee of a mining company and was killed during the course of his employment in tho company's yard the accident is being regarded as a mining fatality. After evidence of identification, the scene of the accident was inspected by the jury. The inquest was adjourned until Tuesday morning.
