EXPELLED FROM GERMANY
FOREIGN JOURNALISTS NAZIS' STRICT SUPERVISION LONDON. Jan. 14 The Berlin correspondent of the Manchester Guardian states that Ernst Popper, Berlin correspondent of the Prager Tageblatt, has been expelled from Germany on the charge of sending reports prejudicial to Nazi-ism. Ho is the fourth foreign journalist expelled in the last few months. The expulsion notice is remarkable, because it Jays down wide restrictions for foreign correspondents. It forbids them to report matters of national defence, home or foreign politics, Government policy or economic activities. Methods of intimidation used against foreign journalists are increasing. Some have been arrested and tho Ministry of Propaganda has warned others that their messages are bringing them into disfavour.
