Rona Bay took charge at the top of the straight and won nicely by a length. McHeath beat Sisterina by half-a-length. Then came Locksley, Silver Sight and Maroha. TIME IMPROVEMENTS PROLETARIAN DOES BEST The course at Cambridge was in good order for the Cambridge Trotting Club's meeting on Saturday, and all the winners and place-getters, with the exception of Silver Watch, improved upon their handicap times. Proletarian displayed the greatest margin by recording 3.44 2-5 from a 8.55 mark in tho Pukerimu Handicap, one mile and live furlongs. G. Martin, has decided to put the stallion to the stud. NEW SIRE FOR ELDERSLIE SOLICITOR GENERAL ARRIVES The thoroughbred stallion Solicitor General, who was recently purchased in England by the Elderslie Stud Company, Oamaru, reached Auckland by the lonic yesterday and will be carried on to Port Chalmers, where he will be unloaded. Solicitor General is a five-year-old bay horse by Blandford from Dail.
