SUMMER MEETING

bunny azure in form SOME GOOD DIVIDENDS HINEWAA'S LARGE RETURN THREE WINS FOR F. J. SMITH Conditions proved very favourable for the Cambridge Trotting Club's meeting at Cambridge on Saturday and there was some highly interesting racing. Most of the winners were well supported, but there were somo good dividends, Hincwaa paying over two score for a place when she finished second in the Recovery Handicap. Hincwaa, who had run unplaced earlier in tho day, was supported to the extent of only £6 on the place machine. King's Knight made tho best winning return when he paid doublo figures in the Maiden Handicap, and Our McKinney was at a good price for a place in the Pukerimu Handicap. Tho Takanini trainer F. J. Smith had another successful day, gaining three wins and a third. Ho won a doublo with tho consistent Bonny Azure, v. ho accounted for the leading events in good style, and the Farmers' Handicap with Kuini. After tho decision of the Cambridge Summer Handicap, tho canteen of cutlery accompanying tho stake was presented to Mrs. S. G. Hcdley, wifo of tho owner of Bonny Azuro, by Mr. JR. T. Reid, donor of the trophy. The attendance was good, and the totalisator handled £9606, compared with £16,177 10s. last season, when there were two days, and the highest turnover was £9308 on the second day last year, which was held on tho King's Silver Jubilee holiday.
