ABSENCE OF CRIME
WHITE GLOVES AT BLENHEIM FAULTY COURT FACILITIES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] BLENHEIM. Tuesday The Supreme Court session opened to-day before Mr. Justice Northcroft, who was presented with a pair of white gloves to mark the absence of any criminal business. The grand jury, however, made a presentment, appealing for improved accommodation for Court work. Attention wad drawn to the inconvenience of the present buildings, the faulty acoustics, the lack of accommodation for jurors and counsel, and the opinion was expressed that these were liable to reflect adversely on the administration of justice. ' His Honor, after congratulating the district on the absence of crime undertook to make himself conversant with local conditions and to forward the presentment to the proper quarter.
