MENTAL FATIGUE

Much of tho fatigue that is experienced, perhaps after a minimum of effort, has an emotional origin. Wo feel tired because wo lack interest, are bored, are discouraged, or are tho victims of worry or mental conflict. Socalled " brain-fag" is only too often due to one or other of such factors. A brief rest soon dissipates tho fatigue duo to work. It is commonly believed that we aro tired of tho work, not by the work. Tho morbidly tired sufferer possibly can hardly do any office work without feeling exhaustion, but can play golf all day 1 When our heart is in an undertaking how blissfully can wo bend our shoulder to tho wheel for hours on end without any tiredness. Such a symptom, apart from physical disease, would seldom appear in a well-regulated emotional life.
