LONDON MARKET RISE firm tone maintained CHEESE CONTINUES QUIET Prices for New Zealand butter on the London market ar§ Is to 2s per cwt. higher at 78s to 80s per cwt. A firm tone has been maintained. The cheese market is quiet, with prices unchanged at 43s t0.44s 6d per cwt.

Merchants have received the following cablegrams, dated May 22, from their London principals: —

Joseph Nathan and Company, Limited, from Trengrouse and Nathan, Limited. —Butter: 79s to 80s. Ihe market is firm. Cheese: White, 43s to 43s 6d; coloured, 44s to 44s 6d. The market is quiet.
