SOUTH AFRICAN TEAM MATCH WITH HAMPSHIRE LONDON, May 99 The South African cricketers to-day began a match against Hampshire at Southampton. The visitors lost their first three wickets for 28 runs, after which a'partnership between Nourse and Viljoen defied many changes in the bowling. Nourse's bright innings included eight fours. ( Cameron and Balaskas were victims of the new leg-before rule. South Africa scored 304, and when stumps were drawn, the county had made 27 for no wickets.
