THE ASSOCIATION GAME
SENIOR GRADE CONTESTS COMRADES TO PLAY PONSONBY MATCH BETWEEN NAVY TEAMS Interesting Soccer should be witnessed to-morrow, when the fifth series i . of matches in the first round of the j Auckland Association's senior cham- j i pionship will be decided. Previous j matches this season have pointed to the evenness in standard of the various teams, and to-morrow's games should again produce closely-fought encounters. The feature match at Blandford Park will be the meeting of Comrades and Ponsonby. Both teama are very promising combinations, and a fast and spectacular contest shpuld result. If Comrades can maintain the form which proved 60 troublesome to Xorth Shore last week, it should have a fine chance of upsetting the strong Ponaonby side. An interesting curtain-raiser game will be provided by teams representing H.M.S Leith and H.M.S. Dunedin. Another even contest should be witnessed at Western Springs, where Y.M.C.A. and I Metro-College will contest the points. ! Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys and North Shore will meet on the Mount Albert ground, while Eastern Suburbs and Thistle have been drawn to play at St. Heliers.
