BUSHMAN INJURED

LOG-HAULING ACCIDENT CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS Head injuries were suffered by a bushman, Mr. George Edwin Jordan, aged 26, single, in an accident during loghauling operations in the bush about five miles from Waitakere yesterday morning. The logs were being hauled by a wire hawser and an engine, and it is thought -Mr. Jordan was struck on the head by a part of the wooden "fork" supporting the hawser, which collapsed. The injured man was taken to his home at Wairere Road, Waitakere, and received medical attention. He was later conveyed to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. The actual nature of the injuries had not been ascertained last night, and the man's condition was reported to be fairly serious.
