CONTESTS AT INVERCARGILL [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] INVEUCARGILL, Monday A good house witnessed two 10-ronnd professional boxing contests to-night. W. Jack (lnvercargill), lOst. 61b., beat L. Hood (Dunedin), lOst 61b., on points, after a willing welter-weight bout. The middle-weight contest between E. Jacobs (Wellington), list. 61b., and M. O'Brien (Dunedin), list. 61b., was characterised by clean, hard hitting throughout. Jacobs won convincingly on points. Tho pair will fight at lnvercargill shortly for the professional middle-weight championship of the Dominion.
