ENCOUNTER WITH SHARK

THREE MEN IN A BOAT COAT SLEEVE TORN OFF SYDNEY. Jan. 2® While three men were fishing from a small boat outside Sydney Heads, a large shark leapt out of the water and snapped at one man. The jaws of the shark fastened on the sleeve of the man's coat and tore it off at, the elbow.

Falling back into the sea the monster struck the gunwale of the boat, which almost capsized. Then it swam round the borft, lashing the water with its tail, before finally swimming away.
