NORTHERN CRUISE
RETURN OF THE M'ONOWAI After a delightful northern coastal cruise the Union Steam Ship Company a vessel Monowai returned to Auckland , yesterday morning and berthed at Queen's Wharf. Brilliant weather was an outstanding feature of the trip, j which was enjoyed by 220 passengers, | many of whom had come from other •_ provinces. At a gala dinner held on Thursday ovoning before the fancy dress ba speech of thanks to Captain A. Davey, his officers and crew, was by one of the passengers and a lette of thanks signed by the passengers presented to Captain Davey later. the ship's arrival at the wharf y ~.r terday morning the band played popular.,tunes on deck and the passengers co eluded a last round of farewellls, a joining hands and singing "Auld Syne" before disembarking. ■ ' I
