KILLED BY ARROWS

NEW GUINEA MISSIONARY Reports received from Madang, New Guinea, on January 9 confirmed the murder by natives of Father Mossheiser, of the Roman Catholic mission, on December 16. Father Mossheiser was leaving'Wokama village with Father van Baar, when the former, who was a little distance behind, was attacked by natives and killed by arrows. Wokama is in the Mount Hagen district, and, although it has not yet been visited by Administration officers, advance posts of the Catholic and Lutheran missions have' been established in the vicinity. The Lutheran aerodrome is only seven hours' walk away. A strong patrol, including three Administration officials, will probably leave Salamoa for the scene immediately.
