Miss Thelma Wriede, of Caboolture, Queensland, is spending an extended holiday with her sister, Mrs. W. A. gehultz, of Hamilton.
Miss Mabel Sharpe, Christchurch, loft yesterday by the Monowai for Sydney, where she will join the Ormonde en rouia to England and the Continent.
Mrs. Horace Scott and her daughter, Jlisu Gwen La Vie, are returning to their home in Cheltenham on Monday after a holiday spent at Onetangi and fit. Iteliers Bay.

A farewell afternoon tea was given yesteirdav by members of the Daisy Chain Club to their patroness, Mrs. Bashfim, who is leaving shortly on a visit to America. A small presentation was made to the guest of honour by tie president, Mrs. Lord. Seventyfire members, were present, also Mrs. C. 6. Scrimgeour. Items were given by Mrs. C. E. Cooper and Fay anaT Joy Tompkin.

The Silverdale, Arkle's Bay and Brown's Bay "Women's Institutes held a combined picnic at Red Beach on Thursday, when most pleasant day nils spent. Members enjoyed swimming before lunch, thi3 being followed by a Sports programme. A paper race, shell nice and Treasure Hunt caused a good dsal of amusement. The Silverdale Institute was the winner of the overhead ball, and the Brown's Bay Wonien's Institute won the tunnel ball. Several children's races were held. _
