WRECKED BY NAZIS

NOTED PULLMAN CAR

ONCE USED BY KINGS

(Received January 10. 6.15 p.m.) LONDON. Jan. 9

The Saarbrucken correspondent of the Daily Express says that when a Pullman car, which had been used in Continental journeys by the late King Edward and by Eing George, was sold at auction in Calais in 1926, the purchaser was Herr Wols, Jewish director of the railway engineering works at Dillingen. - Herr Wols, who is an anti-Hitlerite, "recently dismissed a number of workmen. He says the Nazis, in revenge, raided his premises and wrecked the luxuriously-furnished coach. He intends to make souvenirs from the wreckage and present them to British officers now in the Saar. SERIOUS DISORDER NAZIS AND COMMUNISTS CLASH IN THE CAPITAL SAARBRUCKEN. Jan. 9 "A meeting of the Saar Governing Commission was hurriedly convened as the result of disorders which occurred after the arrival of a contingent of voters from America to participate in the plebiscite next Sunday.

Clashes between Nazis and Communists in. front of the Town Hall soon succeeded the uproarious welcome which had been given by Nazis to the newcomers. '■■■ The police endeavoured to silence the crowds, which were defying the regulations.

Several charges were made by mounted police and many people were injured before the demonstrators were dispersed. ' -
