"THE TELEPHONE"
Sir, —I desire to give my approval to the letter of "A Subscriber" appearing in your issue of January 0. To be able to secure the correct time by day or night by inquiry over the telephone was greatly appreciated by subscribers. We learn that the Post and Telegraph Department again made large profits. There is therefore no reason why economy should be practised in this manner, especially in view of the fact that there has not been any consequent reduction in telephone subscriptions. Anothf.r Subscriber.
