MERCANTILE AUXILIARY
The members of the Mercantile Auxiliary Club held their monthly luncheon yesterday. A letter from the Community Sunshine Association, thanking the club for their donation of £2 toward the Sunshine Association's work, was received, as were also messages wishing the club every success in 1935 from local members unable to bo present, and members overseas.
During the past month the club had arranged functions in connection with the ships Orangemoor, Strathnaver, Waipawa, Port Brisbane and Glen Innes. Present at luncheon were:— Miss Joyce Dickey, Miss Esme Tfwersen, Miss Laura Edgar. Miss Peggy Lee, Miss Jean Reynolds, Miss Alison Carnavan, Miss Jegn Gaudie, Miss Hilary Booth, Miss Edna Thomas, Miss Joyce Smith, Miss Ailsa Vahry, Miss Evelyn McNeil, and Miss Ida Vella.
