and the other from Leningrad to Moscow, to collide on the main lino 140 miles south of Leningrad. Both trains were derailed, and the Moscow express caught fire, many passengers being trapped. The death roll is not known, but it is admitted that it was heavy. Roth the injured and the uninjured suffered severely on the wintry night before the arrival of relief trains with doctors and nurses.
