ALLEGATIONS OF THEFT

TWO MEN BEFORE COURT

Charges of theft were preferred against two men in tho Police Court yesterday before Mr. Wyvern Wilson. S.M. In both cases remands were granted at the request of the police. John Simmons, aged 20, seaman, was charged with the theft, on December 8, of a motor-car valued at £BO, the property of J. S. Dickinson. He was remanded until Wednesday. The second case- was that of Joseph Marino, aged 37, labourer, who was charged with stealing from the house of Jane Mitchell, at 145 Hobson Street. City, clothing valued at £9 12s. He was remanded until Monday.
