CAMEL IMPOUNDED

STRAYING ON THE ROAD A camel, which was found straying at Cardiff, New South Wales, recently, was impounded by the council and, unless the owner came forward to release it, the most extraordinary sale by auction in the history- of the Newcastle district was expected to take place. Several camels were brought to Newcastle somo months ago, the idea being that they might be turned to profit as mounts for small children at district pleasure resorts.
