BOY'S HAND AMPUTATED

[BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] MASTERTON, Thursday A 14-year-oid Martinborough High School boy, Michael Alpe, had his left hand amputated at the Greytown Hospital to-day, following upon an accident at his father's farm at Tawaha this morning. The boy was assisting his father in the milking shed, when his hand caught in the belt of the milking machine and was very badly injured. <
