RELIGIOUS CONFERENCE
SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS CAMP AT CLAUDELANDS [from our own corrkspondknt] HAMILTON, Thursday The annual conference of Seventh Day Adventists of the North Island will commence at the Claudelands Showgrounds on Tuesday. An attendance of about 700 is ex|x!cted and comprehensive arrangements for their accommodation are being made by the camp superintendent, Mr. L. C. Naden, and Mrs. Naden, who have been preparing the camp for three weeks. Two large marquees, one capable of accommodating 1000 peoplo and the other about 300, have been erected, and 160 tents have been pitched. The marquees will be used for meetings. No mess tent will be necessary as the occupants of each tent will prepare their own meals. Among those present at the camp will be Pastor A. H. Piper, secretary of the Australasian Union Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, Pastor A. G. Stewart, wlix> is engaged in Island mission work, Pastor Raymond Re.ve, of Samoa, Mr. Afa-ese, a Sanioan, M iss H. K. Lewin, Sunday school secretary of the Australasian Union Conference, Mr. L. Howell, formerly of Napier, who is on furlough from Papua, and Pastor W. D. Smith, of the New liobrides mission. Evangelists from all parts of the North Island also will be present, and a doctor will be in residence at the camp. Devotional and business meetings will be hold, lectures will be given and appointments made.
