AMENDING LEGISLATION BOARD MEMBERS REAPPOINTED [BY TET,EGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday In announcing the appointment of Mr. C. R. Hutchinson (Auckland) and Mr. L. R. C. Macfarlane (Canterbury) as members of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board for a furtheir period to March 31, the Post-master-General, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, said that the period was made short because it was the intention of the Government to place proposals before the next session of Parliament for altering the Broadcasting Act. It, would be for the House, said the Minister, to decide whether the suggestions khould be embodied in the statute. It was not proposed to make public the proposed amendments until they were first disclosed to members of the House.
