CUP RESULTS ALTERED CONTROL BOARD'S DECISION The results of the Falcon Cup final and the Dacre Cup final were upset by the control board of the Auckland Football Association at its meeting last evening. In th© final of th© Falcon Cup, Thistle defeated North Shore United, but a Thistle player had not been registered within the prescribed time. A previous intimation from the North Shore Club on the matter had been thrown out by the board, on a technicality. . M ~ A further communication from tne riorin Shore Club was received last evening, in which it notified that an appeal to the Now Zealand Council would be made if the board did not uphold ita own by-laws, it was decided to adhere to the by-laws and award the match and the Falcon Cup to I tho 'grade final of the Dacre Cup between Abels and Thistle, the former club played a man who was under suspension. In this instance the hoard decided option but to award the match and Dacre Cup to Thistle. , „ _ A letter was received from the New Zealand Council in reference to the recent disbandment of the Auckland Referees Association by the board. The council intimated that, following a request from the New Zealand Referees' Association, it would, receive ft deputation from that body, It inquired if a member of the control board would be present. The matter was left in the hnnds of Mr. F. M. Ritchie. , • The council also reported that the referee of the Chatham Cup final had cautioned! an Auckland Thistle player for continued appealing, and that the, council was issuing a reprimand to the said player.
