Temperatures becoming colder and Bnow probable on the ranges, SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST INDICATIONS OP HAIN The Government meteorologist issuefc to the Herald last night the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province: —Moderate to strong northerly winds, - changing to south, erlies within 24 hours. The weather frill be cloudy to overcast and rain is probable, with heavy falls in places. Seas; rather rough to rough. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland. —There was a continuation! of cloudy, threatening weather and a moderate northerly wind yesterdav j occasional light showers being experi'i enced. The barometer fell .10in. after<' mid-day, but was steady during the! evening. The thermometer registered 64 : degrees at 4 p.m. Barometer, midnight, falling .. 29.90 in Midnight, Tuesday .. .. 39,05|n', Wellington.—Mild, cloudy weather : with a fresh northerly wind bloTving' was experienced throughout yesterday* The temperature at 4 p.m. was 59.6! degrees, and the maximum during the* day was 62.2 degrees. Christchurch. —The weather yesterday was fine, although cloudy, with a maximum temperature of 62.8 degrees. There was a moderate northerly breeze in the morning, which changed to the north-east in the afternoon. The barometer, after falling, rose to 29.55 in. Dunedin.—The weather yesterdav was ' dull, but fine, with a light north-east-erly breeze. The maximum temperature was 06 degrees.
