"Wt&BMt&xr A considerable amount of reccmstniction work is being carried out on the main highway between; Wbangarei and Auckland, and when completed the road surface should be in first-class condition. It is expected tie work will be completed before tie summer traffic commences. The new bridge at Orewa is well advanced and the approach on the Auckland side ot the structure has been straightened to provide easier access. Between Warfcwerth and Dome Valley several bad coshers are being rounded air, and other improvements elfeeted.
