STAKES TO LOUGH NEAGH GOLDEN WINGS RUNS SECOND (Received September 13, 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 13 Scratchings totalling approximately 40 per cent of the acceptors resulted in small fields at the twice-postponed Canterbury Park races, hold to-day. The Canterbury Stakes was won by the Queensland gelding Lough Ncagh, with the New Zealander Golden Wings second and Whittingham third. Golden Wings led to the straight entrance, where he waß tackled by Lough Neagh, who went on to score nicely, Martian Chief ran second in the Campsie Handicap, in which there were seven runners. Sent. 13 At Randwick this morning Chatham did an easy and pulled up sound. Nightly ran four furlongs in 511s, but was lame again afterwards Marcus Cicero and Caliente did a moderate seven furlongs in 1.35. Autopay and. Silver Ring, together, covered five furlongs in 1.55. They were easing, up over the last furlong, and covered the first four in 511s—the beat of the morning. Cape York did half a mile in 545. The Masqueradej and Gladswood ran seven furlongs in 1.831.

Marcus Cicero, 8.5, has made the final payment for the Rosehill Guineas, of 650 guineas, 1 mile 1 fur. Thursday An inquiry was held by the judicial committee of the Wanganui Jockey Club regarding the running of Brigadore, who finished third in th® Okehu Hack Hurdles to-day. The committee expressed dissatisfaction with N. Trillo's riding of Brigadore, but decided to take no action on the ground that- the jockey had not completely recovered from a recent accident.

The entries for to-morrow's point-to-point meeting of the Pakuranga Hunt at Pigeon Mount. Pakuranga. represent a distinct improvement compared with last_ year. The largest number in any one race is 16 in the open ev6nt. which is expected to provide a particularly keen contest. An innovation this year is a pony race for children, with which the programme will open.
