Askew, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, was abducted and held for 25,000 dollars' ransom. .... , Mr. Askew was driving in a motorcar at the time he was seized. TORONTO BREWER RELEASE ANNOUNCED (Received August 17, 11.45 p.m.) TORONTO, August 17 Mr. John Labatt, the Toronto brewer who was kidnapped on Tuesday, was released at 5.30 a.m. to-day.
