LONE EXPLORER

BYRD'S EXPERIENCES PREPARED FOR THE WORST (Received August 17, 7.25 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 16 A wireless message from the Byrd Antarctic expedition at Little America states: — Further news has been received from Mr. Poulter at tho Boling advance base concerning Rear-Admiral Byrd's experiences. At one time the explorer was convinced he had reached the limit of his endurance, and he hung a note dated June 15, over his table referring to letters he had written to various people and saying where the letters would be found. Also he had written to us, apparently thinking the tractor party would arrive too late.
