Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse comedies are soon to bo made entirety in colour-
Mark Twain's " The Prince and the Pauper " is to be screened with Dickie Mooro in the principal part.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer have paid nearly £4OOO for the screen rights of " Sixteen," the play now running at the Criterion Theatre, London.

Dissatisfied with the stories that have been offered to him, Paul Muni has now written one for himself. It is based on his own experiences during a recent trip to Russia, and has been handed to his brother-in-law, Abem Finkelj to build up into a scenario.
For his second screen vehicle for Radio, Francis Lederer will,, assume the role of Joaquin Murietta, colourful California bandit. Production on the picture, which will be filmed in orignal locales with a pretentious cast, will begin as soon as Lederer returns from San Francisco, where he is appearing in the stage play "Autumn Crocus."
It is reported from New York that Twentieth Century have signed George Arliss for three more pictures, at a big increase of salary. Taking the amount he will receive for his forthcoming British film into account, this probably means that Arliss' income during 1934 will rival, if not exceed, that of Greta Garbo.
Advice has been received that production is to commence almost immediately on an elaborate screen version of " Sons O'Guns " at the British and Dominions' studios at Boreham Wood. The story is boing adapted' by Tom Geraghty, one of the outstanding personalities in this type of work. Jack Buchanan will play the leading role, and the principal feminine part will be played by Lili Damita.

Sir J. M. Barne's " The Little Minister" lias been bought by Radio from Paramount to provido a vehicle for Katherine Hepburn.
Soviet producers are turning out a cartoon describing the adventures of an anti-capitalist hedgehog. The hedgehog's name is " Mikki Maus"!
Air. Frank Bradley, who plays the part of Dad Mcßride in the 13eaumont Smith production " Splendid Fellows," is a painter of more than ordinary merit. He was a successful exhibitor at the Royal Glasgow- College of Painters in his young days. He ensures an artistic scenic presentation for all hisjvork and ho takes a great interest in designing costumes and settings for productions.
