DEATH OF WOMAN

An inquest was opened yesterday by Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., coroner, into the death of Mrs. Catherine Goodwin, aged 38, of 33 Church Street, Ponsonby, who received fatal injuries when she fell from an inward-bound tramcar in Karangahape Road, near the corner of Hereford Street, at 1.35 p.m. on Thursday. After evidence of identification had been given the inquest was adjourned sine die.
