GAMING HOUSES RAIDED
PROSECUTION OF CHINESE FINES UP TO £6O IMPOSED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Fines totalling £IBO were imposed on four Chinese, who were charged with using premises as common gamine houses. One was fined £6O and each of the others £4O.
Five men, who were on the premises without lawful excuse, were each fined 10s.
The arrests were made yesterday afternoon when raids were carried out on five houses in Taranaki Street.
