NEW ZEALANDERS' TOURS
AUCKLANDERS ABROAD. [from our own correspondent] LONDON, July 10 Mr. and Mrs. S. Rawnslev ("Auckland) are on a holiday tour to Britain. They attended the Air Pageant at Hendon.
• - Mr. Arthur A. Best (Auckland) arrived in London a few days ago, via Canada. He made a short stay at Toronto as the guest of the New Zealand Trade Commissioner, Mr. J. Collins. Mr. Best will mak&'a tour shortly of the battlefields of France and Belgium, primarily to visit the New Zealand war cemeteries, where relatives and many old friends are at rest.
Mr. D. W. Morrish (Whangarei) is among the flying officers who have passed the promotion examination "B for the rank of flight-lieutenant. The Rev. G. R. Barnett, assistantcurate of Brighton Parish Church and formerly Dean of Hamilton, has been appointed to the vicarage of Ifield, in the diocese of Chichester. Mr. W. C. How has been appointed assistant-manager of the London office of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Mr. C. W. Payne has been appointed secretary. Vice-Admiral Alister Beal —who commrnded the New Zealand Naval Station fr6m 1923 to 1926—and Mrs. Beal returned to England a month ago from Tasmania. They left England last October and spent the summer on a private visit to Sir Elliott Lewis, LieutenantGovernor of Tasmania, and Lady Lewis, who is Airs. Beat's sister. They expect to be in London for some time to come.
