The indications are for moderate to strong north-east, erly to northerly winds, reaching gale force at places in the North Island; and a change to southerly setting soon in the far south .and extending over the Dominion within the next 24 hours. Seas: Hough north of Cape Egniont and East Cape; elsewhere moderate, hut later rising generally. Eastern Tasman Sea : Strong erl.v winds at first, but soon changing to strong southerlies. Seas: Rough] Weather: Unsettled and cloudy, with much mist or fog in places. Fairly general rain is likely, with some heavy falls, especially in the northern por« tion of the North Island. Auckland district:—Strong northerly to easterly winds, veering to southerlies within' 24 hours. The weather is likely to be unsettled and squally, with much mist or fog. Widespread rain may beexpected, with some heavy falls. Temperatures becoming colder during tomorrow. Seas rough to heavy. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER. . Auckland. —The weather was bois. terous and wet most'of yesterday. A moderate, but freshening, north-east wind during the day wp.s followed by a strong wind and continuous rain in the evening. The barorileter fell .2oin. during the 24 hours. Barometer, midnight, falling .. 30.05 in, Midnight, Sunday .. .. 30.30 in. Wellington.—lt was a mild, cloudy day yesterday, a northerly breeze prevailing. This freshened somewhat during the afternoon. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 54;ldeg., and the maximum for the day was 55.2deg. Christchurch. —The weather yesterday was dull and chilly, with a moderate easterly to north-easterly breeze blowing. The temperature was 51.6deg. and the minimum 44.8deg. The barometer is now steady at 30.03 in. Raia was falling last evening. Dunedin.—The weather- yesterdaywas dull and overcast, with a light breeze from the north-east. The maximum "temperature was 46deg.
