AUSTRIA'S FUTURE DECISION BY DICTATORS HELPING RECOVERY '' /' SO FRONTIER CHANGES GERMAN CONCESSION By Telecrrnph—Press Apportion—Copyright (Received June IP. 5.55 p.m.l LONDON". June IS The dinlomatic correspondent of the Daily Telegraph snys that the agreement between Signor Mussolini and Herr Hitler on the Austrian question has not been committed to paper, but it means / that- both statesmen have undertaken to facilitate Austria's return to normal domestic tranquility. Nazi Germany thus renounces the actual incorporation of Austria within the frontiers of the Reich. Italy is therefore safeguarded against the unwelcome prospect of a frontier contiguous to Germany. It is expected that Dr. Dollftiss, Austrian Chancellor, will shortly visit Mussolini. The Berlin representative of the Sunday Times says that the meeting of Signor Mussolini and Herr Hitler at Venice is hailed throughout Germany as a triumph for Hitler. The German press insists that Mussolini received no monarch' with greater deference and pomp than he did Hitler. This, combined with the defiance of Britain, has restored the belief that the Nazis have made Germany one of the strongest nations in Europe. Another Berlin message says that Hitler, speaking at Gera, near Leipzig, on the first occasion after the Venice meeting, said: " We hatched no plots against other nations, but have taken care that nobody else's plots can destroy the' German nation. Limitless as is our love of peace and little as Germany desires war, we also will fanatically uphold German freedom and the honour of our nation."
