OLD GIRLS' DANCE The annual dance of the Woikato Diocesan and Sonning Old Girls took place in the Alexandra Hall. This dance, which is always one of the most popular -social events of the year, proved as successful as ever. The large number of debutantes all looked very charming and youthful in their white frocks. The hostess for the evening was Miss Del Yule, president of the Old Girls' Association, who wore a frock of Robin Hood green wool lace with clips of diamante. The debutantes were Miss- Estolle Miller (Morrinsville), who wore a frock of magnolia tinted suede crepe; Miss Marie Taylor, in ivory faille'taffeta with rucbings of taffeta; Miss Dorothy Stranger, parchment shaded satin; Miss Nancy Wilson, ivory lace; Miss Keitha Keiulrick (To Aroha), ivory souple satin; Miss Betty Rutherford, magnolia ring velvet; Miss Edpa Manson, ivory wind-swept satin; Miss Peggy Steel, beige angelskin lace; Miss Gladys Johnson, ivory frilled cobweb net; Miss Frances Grundy, ivory georgette and lace. All carried Victorian posies of flowers. Others present were Miss Satchel!, Mrs. H. G. Sergei, Mrs. Rutherford, Mrs. A. B.' Whvte, Mrs. N. Taylor, Mrs. H. Miller, Mrs. -Steel.
