RIFLE SHOOTING
MATCH AT WHANGAREI [from our own correspondent] V WHANGAREI, Monday Tho Whangarei Defence Rifle Club held a shoot during the week-end in the Club Cup series. There was a variable light and left ■wind.' S. C. Wells mado tho top score, and received a win in the series. A pairs shoot was also held, and the trophy was won by D Wilton and S. C. Wells. The following aro tho results of tho Club Cup series shoot:—S. C. Wells, 47 at 500 yds, 44 at 600 yds, handicap 3, total, 94; G. Neville, 43, 46, 3—92: C. Ruddell. 45. 46. scr—9l; T. Hill, 43, 41, 6—90; J. Norris, 47, 42, scr—B9; J. H. Ashton, 43, 44, 2-89; D. Wilton, 43, 45. scr—Bß; E. A. Foot, 42, 42, 3—87; S. Clark, 46, 33, i—S3; S. E. Foot, 40, 37, 6—83.
