MAN SERIOUSLY HURT
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR Severe head injuries were suffered bv a pedestrian, Mr. Georce Nicholas Jeffery, aged 54, of 10 Hill Street, Newmarket, about 5.15 last evening, when ho was knocked down by a motor-car as he was crossing the lower end of Khyber Pass Road. After receiving attention from the St. John Ambulance. Mr. Jefiery was removed to the hospital. His condition last night was serious.
